League of Legends Patch 26.15 kicks off Season 3 with a loaded update: Bel’Veth is reshaped, Aegis of Valor changes purpose, duo returns to Master and several meta champions get hit.
Bel’Veth shifts toward scaling
Riot lowers her oppressive early pattern and leans harder into the evolution fantasy. The big point: her ultimate form can last much longer with stacks, moving her power toward mid and late game.
Ranked incentives change
- Aegis of Valor now focuses on victory: no LP loss reduction on defeat.
- Wins can award double LP.
- Duo queue returns in Master with rank restrictions.
- GM, Challenger and equivalent MMR players stay solo-only.
The meta gets trimmed
Locke, Naafiri, Riven, Sylas and Mordekaiser are targeted, while several tankier or underperforming champions get room to breathe. Early patch days will be full of players testing buffs too quickly.
What to play to climb
Prioritize champions you already know and watch for picks that benefit from the nerfs. Jungle Bel’Veth needs adaptation. Master duo players should abuse communication before the ladder adjusts.
