The Marvel Rivals September 24, 2026 patch notes confirm one of the lightest maintenance windows of Season 10: no balance changes, no hero reworks, no map bugs pushed back. What NetEase did ship is a fresh Domination map called God Quarry, a fifty-day event called Galacta's Gift Vol.3, and a full Swimsuit collection spread over two waves. This is the Season 10 content beat, not a competitive integrity update — but it changes the Ranked map pool the moment the preview closes.
God Quarry — the new Domination map
God Quarry is the first Domination map added since the Season 10 launch on September 11. It runs a Quick Match Featured slot from September 24 to September 29, 2026. During that six-day window the map is locked to Quick Match only — Ranked queues never draw it — so NetEase can tune spawn timings and cover geometry before it moves into the competitive pool.
The layout follows the Domination template the game standardised in Season 9: a single objective in a central arena, three flanks per side, and a longer sightline than average. Expect an early Hela / Punisher meta on the map while Vanguards learn the arena's boop angles.
Galacta's Gift Vol.3 — the fifty-day event
Galacta's Gift Vol.3 runs from September 24 to November 13, 2026, exactly 51 days, and it is the biggest cosmetic currency reset since Season 9. Two things matter for players who log in daily:
- Costume Coin comes back. The soft currency was retired at the end of Season 9's event; Vol.3 reintroduces it and grants a daily coin package on login.
- The Exchange Store has been rebuilt from scratch. The new stock is heavier on Season 8 and Season 9 legacy skins, so players who missed the first Galacta event get another route to older costumes without the shop rotation.
The event challenges themselves are structured in three-day cycles: complete two challenges per cycle to unlock the next Costume Coin bundle. The full pass caps at seventeen bundles across the 51 days.
Swimsuit costumes — the full ten-hero wave
Marvel Rivals ships its first full seasonal costume set of Season 10 with a Swimsuit collection covering ten heroes. NetEase split the release across two waves to avoid stock rotation collisions.
Wave 1 — available by October 16, 2026
- Emma Frost (Strategist)
- Doctor Strange (Vanguard)
- Daredevil (Duelist)
- Black Widow (Duelist)
- Captain America (Vanguard)
- Lady Loki (Duelist)
- White Fox (Duelist)
Wave 2 — available by November 20, 2026
- Magik (Duelist)
- Scarlet Witch (Duelist)
- Storm (Duelist)
None of the ten costumes ships with a bespoke ultimate VFX — only chroma variants and lobby posters. That is the first time in Season 10 that a seasonal wave has skipped the ult FX tier, and it lines up with NetEase's earlier comment on Dev Vision 21 that cosmetic teams were reassigned to the Season 11 Godbomb finale.
Shop bundles — the four live drops
Four bundles are already live or scheduled for the patch window:
- Mantis - Morning Dew Bundle — live immediately on September 24. Includes the Morning Dew costume, its ultimate VFX and the Dreamy Dew and Sunny Snooze chromas.
- Daredevil - Dare-Dragon Bundle — live immediately on September 24.
- Thor - King Thor Bundle — September 25 to October 23, 2026.
- Morning Dew - Emoji Bundle — September 25 to October 23, 2026.
Two smaller drops sit outside the bundle system:
- Jeff the Land Shark — Breakfin' costume, from September 25, 2026 onwards.
- Mantis gains the Morning Dew ultimate VFX and both Dreamy Dew / Sunny Snooze chromas from September 25, 2026, all sold à la carte.

Bug fixes — the one line in the patch
The patch ships exactly one live-service fix:
- Devil Dinosaur Lord icon: alignment corrected in the KO feed. Players who reached the Lord tier on Devil Dinosaur before September 11 will now see the crown badge centred over the character portrait rather than clipping to the left.
That is the entire fix log. No matchmaker fix, no anti-cheat pass, no client stability tweak. NetEase confirmed on the patch announcement that the September 17 competitive integrity update (the leaver penalty tightening) still stands and did not need reinforcement.
What the patch means for ranked climbers
The competitive impact of the September 24 patch lands in two places:
- Ranked map pool is unchanged for six days. God Quarry is Quick Match only until September 29. Ranked players keep drawing the same Domination pool they had all week — Yggsgard, Klyntar and Tokyo 2099.
- Bundle FOMO does not touch the ladder. None of the four bundles adds a functional advantage — no reload speed cosmetics, no hitbox-altering skins. The Season 10 rank push stays on the same rails as last week.
If you were planning to accelerate the climb before Season 10 closes, the map addition changes the Quick Match XP calculation slightly — Domination games on God Quarry are running about 90 seconds shorter than the Season 10 average, which nudges XP-per-hour up for level 15 grinders. For everyone else, our Marvel Rivals rank boost stays the shortcut with hand-played matches from a verified booster pool.
What is not in this patch
Three things widely rumoured on Reddit and the leak Discords did not ship:
- Gorr balance pass. The Season 10 hero keeps his day-one numbers — the community's rework petition did not land here.
- Scarlet Witch second-pass nerf. Her Season 10 rework values (revealed on September 11) remain untouched.
- Devil Dinosaur or Ultron kit adjustments. Neither hero received the buffs some leaks pointed to; only the Devil Dinosaur Lord icon alignment made it in.
