This is the second big patch in two weeks — a sign NetEase is iterating faster now that the US and EU regions are both stable. The headline move is the Iron Man rework: Micro-Missile Barrage now auto-tracks up to five locks per target, but each shot drops from 20 to 10 damage. The sleeper change is Jubilee, who finally gets a tank-busting continuous self-heal on Sparking Sprint and will shoot up the strategist tier list within the week.
The patch below is split by role and by team-up, with every number before and after and a one-line ranked impact. The Avengers: Infinity War season event and the new Path to Doomsday 6v6 mode close out the article. Source: official NetEase balance post, linked at the bottom.

Vanguard changes
Three tanks hit, two toward each extreme. Hulk is the big winner of the patch, Devil Dinosaur is cut back for being too hard to kill in Gold-Platinum lobbies, and The Thing gets a cleaner path to his Enhanced Effect window.
- Devil Dinosaur — Base health 850 → 825. A 25 HP cut aimed at the GM lobbies where his bite-and-mount cycle was warping compositions. Ranked impact: he still hits like a truck but will die faster to Iron Man and Hela focus.
- Hulk (Banner form) — Gamma Ray Gun projectile speed 80 → 120 m/s, and Gamma energy gained when Gamma Grenade hits self 50 → 100. Banner's harassment pre-Hulk now actually chips, and he transforms twice as fast if you grenade yourself through doorways. Ranked impact: Hulk solo-tank picks jump a tier.
- The Thing — Enhanced Effect healing-trigger damage threshold 150 → 125. He now enters his tankier Rocky-mode after 125 damage taken, not 150. Ranked impact: smoother solo-tank games against short-trade duelists like Hawkeye and Winter Soldier.
Duelist changes
Six duelists get touched. Cyclops is the small-but-everywhere winner, Gorr finally eats a real nerf after dominating Platinum ladders, and Iron Man's missile build becomes a true aim-assist weapon.
- Cyclops — Optic Blast single-hit damage 22 → 23, Ricochet Force cooldown reduction per Optic Blast hit 0.25 → 0.3 s, Ruby Rage (Ultimate) energy cost 3700 → 3400. He now gets his ult 8% faster and loops his cooldowns a tick quicker. Ranked impact: an S-tier flex pick returns.
- Gorr — Shadow Scythe 55 → 50 (+2% max HP unchanged), Shockwave damage 60 → 55, Twilight of the Gods duration 12 → 10 s, Living Abyss cooldown 15 → 12 s, Living Abyss movement speed 13 → 10 m/s. The 2 seconds off his ult and the movement cut mean he can't chain-wipe backlines any more. Ranked impact: drops from S to A.
- Hawkeye — Piercing Arrow projectile speed 130-195 → 140-210 m/s, Hypersonic Arrow initial hit field width 3 → 5 m, Crescent Slash recovery time slightly reduced. His sniping gets faster and his AoE gets wider. Ranked impact: finally justifies a dedicated hitscan slot again.
- Iron Man (reworked) — Micro-Missile Barrage now auto-tracks enemies (max 5 locks per target). Single-shot damage 20 → 10. Projectile speed 15 → 60 m/s. During Armor Overdrive, single-shot damage 15 → 10 (also auto-tracks, max 5 locks). Flat 50% damage cut per missile but four times the speed and homing. Ranked impact: a different hero — bursts are gone, sustained poke returns.
- Phoenix — Cosmic Flames single-shot 60 → 65, Spark detonation direct 40 → 45, Spark explosion 15 → 20. Spark detonation self-heal removed, replaced with Bonus Health of 5 for 4 s (cap 25). Endsong Inferno Sparks applied per hit 1 → 2. More raw damage, no more infinite self-sustain. Ranked impact: still a strong duelist, less braindead.
- Scarlet Witch — Chthonian Burst single-shot field damage 40 → 35. A targeted hit on her lane-clear bursts. Ranked impact: minor, but it pulls her out of the auto-pick slot.
Strategist changes
Only two strategists hit, and Jubilee is the one everyone will talk about.
- Gambit — Healing Hearts and Breaking Spades charge time per stack 8 → 7 s, Ragin' Royal Flush target search range 40 → 30 m, Extra Jump Boost 500 → 300. Faster stack regen but a tighter ult cone and a weaker trampoline. Net: more consistent, less flashy.
- Jubilee — New: 25/s continuous self-healing during Sparking Sprint. Dazzling Detonation blind duration 1.5 → 0.8 s. Firework Finale (Ultimate) field healing 150/s → 180/s. The self-heal while dashing is a huge survivability bump; the blind nerf is to compensate. Ranked impact: jumps straight into the top three strategist picks.
Team-up changes
Ten team-ups hit this patch, a mix of buffs, two new effects and a straight nerf. The two new team-ups are the ones worth building around in Diamond+.
- Hulk + Wolverine — Furious state Attack Speed boost 20% → 25%, Movement Speed boost 20% → 25%, Unstoppable health threshold 300 → 400, Unstoppable cooldown 60 → 45 s. The best brawl team-up got better across the board.
- Magneto + Emma Frost — Magnetic Resonance projection damage 45% → 50%, projection max duration 5 → 6 s. Longer, harder-hitting projection.
- The Thing + Invisible Woman — Unbreakable Forces cooldown 20 → 15 s. Shield-swap tempo goes up.
- Cyclops + Gambit — Kinetic Kin duration 6 → 8 s. Two extra seconds of empowered Optic Blasts per activation.
- Hawkeye + Psylocke — Psionic Arrow single-shot damage 32 → 33. A nominal buff that keeps the pairing on the chart.
- Hawkeye + Cloak & Dagger — New: Moonlit Slash grants self-healing equal to healing dealt. A new survivability layer for the Hawkeye-C&D duo.
- Iron Man + Thor — Unibeam outer ring 70/s → 80/s, Thunder Overdrive enhanced Unibeam outer ring 85/s → 90/s. Rewards sticking the ult.
- Phoenix + Hela — Ability cooldown 12 → 10 s. Two more rotations per fight.
- Adam Warlock + Ultron — Single Cosmic Cluster healing 16 → 18, enhanced explosion field healing 5 → 7. Clean +12% on both halves.
- Gambit + Jubilee — Sparkling Staff duration 1.5 → 2 s. Half a second more empowered window.
- Jubilee + Blade — New: 15/s healing to surrounding allies for 6 s during Vampiric Kin. Jubilee is now a secondary healer when paired with Blade.
Hero fixes
- Winter Soldier — Trooper's Fist and Bionic Hook responsiveness under high latency optimised. Players above 80 ms ping should feel the hook register faster.
- Gorr the God Butcher — Added Custom Targeting Sensitivity for Shadow Harvest. Previously tied to global sensitivity.
- UI — Fixed a Hero Profile label that listed a detailed Emoji resource as a Costume.
New mode: Path to Doomsday — Avengers: Infinity War
The headline mode of the Season 10.5 patch runs October 9 to December 11, 2026. 12 players form 6 duo squads and compete for the 6 Infinity Stones. Each stone has its own objective — the Soul Stone is a last-stand escort, Reality warps the terrain, Mind is a 1v1 duel and Time is a race against a reversing clock. The duo format is new to Marvel Rivals and borrows directly from the arcade-vs-ranked split other hero shooters already run.
Season event: Infinity Finale
Infinity Finale runs October 9 to December 10, 2026. Completing the quest line unlocks the Thor The Avengers costume for free — the first Avengers-film cosmetic the game gives away rather than monetising. Quests are a mix of weekly story missions in Path to Doomsday and standard competitive wins.
Times Square event
A smaller event, October 9 to October 22, 2026. Watch an in-game Infinity War screening for two minutes to unlock a gallery card, or take a group photo at the photo walls for a spray and 100 Units. Essentially a free login bonus for anyone who parks in the social hub.
Maps and store
- New map rotation — Alchemax Headquarters is added to the 18 VS. 18 mode.
- Devil Dinosaur Skele-Saurus Bundle and Blade Vampire King Bundle — limited, Oct 9 to Nov 6, 2026 (02:00 UTC).
- Cyclops Phoenix Cyclops Bundle and Infinity Gauntlet Accessory — permanent, from Oct 9, 2026.
- Summer Special water emotes — now usable in all stages. Act as stationary emotes outside water, some restricted to specific areas.
- Twitch Drops — Oct 9 to Nov 6, 2026, including Angela Will of Galacta costume.
- Gold rank reward — Jeff the Land Shark Razor-Tooth costume for Gold+ at season end.
What the patch means for ranked right now
Three heroes jump a tier: Hulk, Cyclops and Jubilee. One drops from S to A: Gorr. Iron Man is a different hero and will need a week of adapted comps before anyone knows where he lands. The two new team-ups — Hawkeye + Cloak & Dagger, and Jubilee + Blade — are the plays worth building teams around in Diamond and above. If you were on Devil Dinosaur as your solo tank, Hulk is now the stronger pick in the same comp slot.
Season 10.5 is the window the top players use to lock in their rank before 11 opens. If the backlog of placement matches has you stuck in Gold or Platinum, our boosters are already running comps around the new team-ups — see Marvel Rivals rank boost for the current turnaround times.
