On July 16 Ubisoft shipped the Operation System Override mid-season update, and it is far more than a hotfix: eight operators rebalanced, a full ranked map rotation, the 1v1 arcade returning and native mouse & keyboard support on consoles. If you are grinding ranked in Y11S2, these changes directly affect your picks. Every number below comes from the official Ubisoft notes.
The essentials: a mid-season that redefines defense
The theme of this patch is clear: give anti-projectile defenders and roamers room to breathe. Wamai receives the biggest buff of his career, Jäger gets his old mobility back, while on attack Dokkaebi's rework gets tuned and Zofia gains utility. The result: a wider defensive meta, with several forgotten picks viable again in ranked and Siege Cup.
Defense: Wamai and Jäger are the big winners
Wamai
- Mag-NET — activation time : 1.5s ⇒ 0.5s
- Mag-NET — charge regeneration : 40s ⇒ 20s / charge
- Mag-NET — max charges : 5 ⇒ 7
- Secondary gadget : Impact Grenades ⇒ Nitro Cell (C4) ; + Deployable Shield (new option)
Jäger
- Speed / Armor : 2 / 2 ⇒ 3 / 1
- 416-C Carbine — vertical & horizontal recoil : improved
Other defense & roam buffs (Lesion, Melusi) + attack (Twitch, Rauora)
- Lesion — GU Mine refill : 30s ⇒ 25s
- Twitch — Shock Drone shot recharge : 30s ⇒ 28s
- Melusi — Banshee area of effect : 4m ⇒ 4.3m
- Rauora — cooldown between gadget shots : 3s ⇒ 1s
Attack: Dokkaebi tuned, Zofia strengthened
- Jegeo Payload — global cooldown : removed (cooldown per target)
- Jegeo Payload — cooldown : 7s ⇒ 14s
- KS79 Lifeline — Concussion Grenades : 2 ⇒ 3
- KS79 Lifeline — Impact Grenades : 2 ⇒ 3
Dokkaebi's Jegeo Payload cooldown doubles (7 ⇒ 14s) but becomes per-target: no more global cooldown, meaning more phone pressure on stacked defenses. Zofia gains an extra concussion and impact grenade: her KS79 Lifeline is once again a site-opening machine.
The best operators to play in ranked right now
- Attack : Ace, Thatcher, Dokkaebi (rework), Nomad, Zofia (buff)
- Defense : Smoke, Jäger (buff), Mute, Kaid, Wamai (buff), Lesion (buff)
Ace remains the safest hard breacher in the game, Thatcher is still mandatory against electronic gadgets, and reworked Dokkaebi is the number one info pick. On defense, Smoke + Mute still anchor sites, but 3-speed Jäger and the new 7-charge Wamai are now near-auto-picks in almost every lineup.

Ranked rotation, 1v1 arcade and mouse & keyboard on consoles
The ranked rotation swaps three maps at once; Pro League maps stay unchanged. The 1v1 arcade is back for two weeks with a 5-map pool and an attrition system (winners cannot reuse their previous-round operator) — perfect for duel practice. Native mouse & keyboard support also lands on consoles, with automatic placement into the PC matchmaking pool for fairness.
- Ranked IN : Kanal, Villa, Theme Park
- Ranked OUT : Coastline, Outback, Emerald Plains
This mid-season rewards fast adapters: new Wamai setups, roamer Jäger, fresh maps to learn. If you want to convert these changes into ranks without grinding hundreds of hours, the Champion-level boosters and coaches at ElevateBoost already know the optimal setups on Kanal, Villa and Theme Park — rank boost or coaching, pick your path up the ladder.
